I was skeptical at first if this solar generator power pack was any good and if it was going to last. It comes nicely packaged with instructions and the product is pretty solid looking and has a nice feel to it. I gave it a full charged over night and started testing to see how long it can power my devices. I was able to power my laptop running only on this power pack for about 6 hours, 3 hours each time and it still had some juice in it. What I really like about this product is I don’t need any adapter and just plug it directly into the a/c outlet like a wall outlet. It supports a grounded 3 prong port along with UK ports which make it really nice for my devices that require a 3 prong plug. I like how it comes with the built in a/c power inverter and a high capacity power pack all in a nice compact portable unit. I’ve tested this device with lights, small appliances and it powers everything like a champ. I bought a string of LED lights that I will keep next to this device just in case of power outage or on camping trips. It works great and powers the lights without any problem all night. The 2.1A USB port is great for charging my tablet and cell phone amazingly faster than my wall charger. The device does make a very dim sound when the fan is running but hadrly noticeable unless the room is quite. Overall it's a great power pack. The solar panels are not available until next month and looking forward to buying one to use with this device. Now I take this device with me on all of our family outings or stored in the center of the house in case of emergency and power outages with the led lights. If you are wondering regarding charge it can store w.r.t. devices, I used my Mac book air with starting battery 5% and used it plugged in to the battery for 5 hours with intensive use as was using chrome cast screen mirroring to TV which utilizes lot of processing power and at the end of it the Mac book battery was 100% and external battery was exhausted enough to not support the 3 pin switch but could still charge phone using USB.

Compared to other kits this kit has the best portability for the amount of power it produces and can put out. Weighing in at about 7 or 8 lbs its much easier to carry around that the other kits I’ve seen around. Does everything I need it to do while I am off the grid. The standard ac output (wall plug) is great and usually not seen on kits this small. There’s no question in my mind this is the best value for a portable solar kit on the market. It charges every USB device I own in short order! I use this panel on a long road trip. I spent a week slowly making my way south from North Seattle to San Diego, and this panel kept my phone, mini jam box, and battery bank topped off. This panel is going with me to Half Dome this summer, and I am sure it will provide the same awesome charging along the way! Nice work LB1, and great price! Pretty awesome gadget. I set it up on the dashboard while I drive and charge my electronics and my battery stick incase they die. Lets me charge my laptop with the car and my nav with the solar. Absolutely does what it should. I took it out to the field in the desert at White Sands and it kept my phone and NewTrent 14000maH battery topped off. Do take the plastic off of the panels (it looks sewn in to the seams but you can pull it out pretty neatly) when you get it, I didn't until the second week and it made a difference. This is a really high quality battery pack. This generator eonnects to LB1 Solar Charger and allows me to camp with free power or have something in case of real emergency. I've used this a few times already to charge up mobiles and tablets. While it will take longer than an electrical outlet, it is a very workable backup in the event of loss of power.
